BSIC is seeking a Managing Director to lead the institution as its founding executive — with full responsibility for investment strategy, capital deployment, organisational build-out, institutional credibility, and stakeholder engagement.
Bangladesh Startup Investment Company Plc (BSIC) is an independent, bank-backed national investment platform established to channel the country's institutional capital into high-growth Bangladeshi startups and to bring in global venture capital alongside it. BSIC is capitalised by 39 commercial banks contributing up to 1% of annual net profits, with initial paid-up capital of Tk 4.25 billion and authorised capital of Tk 20 billion.
BSIC operates as a commercially governed investment institution with an independent Investment Committee and full fiduciary accountability to its shareholder banks. Its mandate is to deliver market-rate returns while supporting the growth of Bangladesh's innovation economy.
The Managing Director will hold full responsibility for investment strategy and capital deployment, organisational build-out, institutional credibility, and stakeholder engagement. The role reports to the Board and works closely with the Investment Committee.
